One of my Guinea Pig's is being quite territorial.

My two female Guinea Pigs Fudge & Aero have always got along fine but recently I've noticed Fudge is being quite territorial and doing a lot of rumbling towards her. They share food well together but Aero sometimes gets quite hyper and popcorns around the cage and when she does this Fudge always gives her a rumble.

What could be causing this could you please let me know?

I'm not experienced with girlies as i've only ever had boys !
But at a guess, i'd say maybe time of year ? as they come into season i think they can become a bit more territorial and things because there moody girls ! haha.
Hopefully someone can come along and clarify that for you but seems like it would make sense !
