Today's spot clean turned into a full clean when I found some fresh blood on the bedding. All piggies checked over and weighed (though normally they are weighed before feeding not after). Observed them and none showing signs of discomfort with toileting and no visible blood after either. Not a clue who this is from, quite simply a mystery. Looks like I'll be weighing every day now and thoroughly checking all three piggies and the bedding until we get to the bottom of this.

On a side note, heaven knows why my piggies always have to pick bank holidays for this kind of palaver!

Oh no! I hope you can find out who it was, and hopefully it’s a one off. Yes, they seem to know when bank holidays fall.

Oh no. I’m no fan of that kind of bank holiday mystery, either. Hope you can work out who’s the culprit and that it can wait until after the weekend x

Oh no. Fingers crossed nothing serious. It’s always Sod’s law that things like this happen over a bank holiday weekend!

I am very sorry about the bad timing!

Since bleeding porphyrine coloured intense red pees that may or may not contain blood are usually the very first sign of a urinary tract issue and it takes several days for symptoms to firm up, at least this should see you safely past the bank holiday.

Please try not to stress out about it; by the time you'll know the culprit and they are displaying symptoms reliably enough for a vet to diagnose, you can book a suitable apointment during regular hours. Right now and very likely for a couple more days you are in the oberservation stage until things become a little clearer. With urinary tract issues it is usually very much a waiting game at the very onset.

All the best for not having any more bleeding tomorrow - but then you can at least book a post-bank holiday examination for the following day if possible.

🤞 you find out which one it is and get it sorted soon. 😊

I think it wasn't so much stress as just a kick back to how it all happened with Donald when he had stones a couple of years back as that kicked off around bank holiday though I think it was the Easter one. Until losing Daisy this year I haven't had to take any of them to the vets so I suppose I am overdue a visit now 🙄 thankfully I don't start work til next week so at least it's easier to be able to fit an appointment in this week
