Astodd
New Born Pup
Hello I hope you all are well.
Backstory:
My piggie Reese’s is an old boy and has recently had a good bill of health from the vet. Reese’s recently had a little feces build up that I did clear however the vet an I discussed that this is common with older guinea pigs due to the muscles not working as well as they age. I spoke with his vet on including more types of hay into his diet and she agreed. He currently eats orchard grass hay as it is low in dust and my other piggie is allergic to Timothy hay. Reese’s eats a good amount of hay it just may be time to increase the amount with fun other types of hay.
Question:
How much oat hay and other types of hay can I offer to my old boy? What are the frequencies on different types of hay and how much and often to feed? Picture of Reese’s for reference on how much he loves his current hay.
Thank you all!
