Hi TGPF, just a curious question!
We were examining our younger Boar, Walker, today, and noticed two main oddities about his nipples - Firstly, the black one is longer than the white one, and the second oddity was a black crusting that came off of the nipple and surrounding area - What could this be? Are these anything to worry about? Thanks!

Hi!

Have you checked the area just underneath the nipples to feel for any lumps? Boars can get mammary tumours just as sows, so that is the first thing you want to look at if there are changes to the nipples.

It can however be that your boy has just slept in a puddle of something and that it as dried dark around the nipple.

I would recommend that you keep an eye on the area in case there are more changes. Use these pictures as a reference. If you have any concerns, please see a vet anytime.
