I went from pine wood shavings in Pola's cage and then put in a brand of bedding called Critter Care (apparently it is pretty comparable to Carefresh). Ever since I have put her back in her cage she has been sitting in the same spot. I offered her a quarter of a cherry tomato (granted she will not let me hand feed her yet) and she bolted to the other corner of the cage. Normal behavior for her is to get back into her hut ASAP. Will she adjust or do I need to find another alternative to this stuff?

**Update**
I can tell she has been out and about in the cage. I don't like the stuff, I can tell she isn't too impressed either (no matter how odd that sounds, haha) and I think I'm going with fleece bedding next week when I get my new cage built.

Piggies certainly do seem to have preferences when it comes to bedding. Mine always love lying on vetbed/ fleece/towels but nothing compares to how much they popcorn when I use a few layers of newspaper covered in hay. I stick to that now as it is easier to keep them clean. However, I have built a C&C extension to their cage which is lined with towels complete with fleece lined beds. Best of both worlds! x
