Hi all,

We are looking to try and arrange the first in person meet we've had for around 3 years.

We are looking at Birmingham in October, likely 15th or 29th. Please let us know using the poll which date you could make, whether you would like to attend but can't make the dates or location, or whether you are still not comfortable meeting in person due to COVID. The location/dates won't change for this meet but the other information will assist us in trying to plan more in the future.

I can do either the 15th or the 29th Kelly as long as someone will put me up. @eileen was kind enough to offer last time. I'll understand if she's not happy to attend a Meet yet.

It’s a provisional from me. Are children allowed to come? I ask because if there are guinea pigs there (which I assume there would be), my son wouldn’t be able to come. And possibly the other two. I’d also have to think about costs of driving up and parking etc.

It's a slaves only social meet, there wouldn't be piggies there usually. We've mostly met in a pub - I'm not sure whether that means children can't come though.

I am still rather wary re. further Covid waves, busy places and not sure how soon I will qualify for the promised autumn booster.

Thats a lovely idea. It maybe possible to attend the first one, but national rail say maybe engineering works, they don't know yet. Very unhelpful.

I can do the 15 October but not the 29 (we are going tot he the in Liverpool that day). It would be lovely to see some of you in person again.

We don't have under 18's at the meet anymore. We did it once or twice in the past as it's a Wetherspoons we meet in but on the last occasion we had an issue with the pub about children being present when meals weren't being consumed so it would seem sensible to keep it as adults only

I’m in the U.K. during those dates but I don’t think I’d be able to make either of those dates work as it’s too much of a long drive/journey from Essex. I will be in Scotland and Hull around the 15th but that’s for a wedding
Would have realllyyy loved to meet up but I just don’t think it’s going to be possible for me.

I would love to come and meet jou all but for me i’ts a long journey 😅.
Have a look at the VIRTUAL FORUM MEETS thread which is aimed at those of you who don’t live in the UK.
If you can make one of those it would be lovely to meet you.

I can do either date as long as I book it off at work in advance.Would be great to see familiar faces and new ones 🙂

Oh thank you, I will have a look. And score myself a laptop. Yes I am a stoneage person 🙈😂

I used my phone last time round, it worked pretty well. It's better if you have some sort of headset for your phone though, it can be a nightmare over speakerphone.
