HELP! Our youngest boar is an obsessive humper! He has humped the other two continuously for the last week and it has resulted in him hurting the other two. Hope is a sweet and affectionate piggy but he really needs to get a hold on his hormones! He is about 7 weeks old. His cagemates Gizzy who is 9 weeks and Patch who is nearly 3 years are tolerant of their brother, but I would be grateful for advice as right now, Hope is in a cage on his own and squeaking constantly because he hates being on his own.

Just caught Patch a couple of times on the ears, hes got a few little scabs on his ear. Hope is back home now and has considerably calmed down... for now...

Hi, one of my boys does that but we leave him to it as its never vicious. It looks distressing but it's a part of growing up and finding the place in the group. Make sure there is always equal amounts of food, sleeping areas etc and as long as it doesnt get nasty just keep a watchful eye but no need to intervene. Dougal does it when he becomes unsure about something, Ted squeals in annoyance but doesnt seem to be distressed over it. Boys will be boys!
