i have always had male piggies. Ratty is my first female and OMG she is amazing. she must be about 8. i thought i would lose her last week but she is eating great, i syringe feed her water so she wont have to make the journey to water bottle. Basically her back legs have let her down but otherwise she is fine and i clean her daily. she isn't in pain so i am wondering i have never had this with any piggy. Anyone else come across this or is it just old age?

female piggies are strong! i have just never known it!

Hi!

You may find our mobility care guide helpful in looking after your girl. It has lots of practical tips and useful information.
There are quite a number different reasons that can cause back leg problems in older piggies (the most common are listed in the guide). Please have her vet checked if it becomes a real issue.
