It has been almost a week since Ikaros has passed, and I had been worried that Nymph would grieve herself to death. I am happy to report that after getting a brand new cage for her, and lots of love, treats, and extra floor time, she seems to be one happy little girl.
I know some of you may ask why I gave my little girl a new cage, but the old was in disrepair as was. I had planned for a new one this month, but Ikaros passed before I could. I rushed ordering the cage because, I didn't know what Ikaros passed from, so I was worried Nymph would catch the same thing. Not to mention Nymph would look all over for Ikaros and would lay in the box where she passed. It was such a sad and heartbreaking sight.
Nymph still wheeks from time to time looking for Ikaros. I expect it to be a long hard road for my little piggy trying to get over the loss of her mother. Hopefully though, with the continuation of what I am offering her now, I can ease her mourning.
