Nuggets Bladder Tumor 😔

Hi all,
I'm a first time guinea pig owner, have had my guy for about 1.5 years and have gathered as much information as I can on general wellness and care! As such I feel relatively aware GENERALLY, but when it comes to any health issues I feel pretty UNaware. we've dealt with mites(were pretty sure?) and an ear infection together, as well as an external mass that had to be removed. Saturday night (03/06/2021) when cleaning his cage I noticed blood in his urine. I of course quickly found and took him to an emergency vet. That vet performed an ultrasound and found a mass in his bladder. She is certified to perform general procedures on guinea pigs, but it's definitely not her normal customer. I'm getting in touch with his regular vet in the morning, but I'm wanting to hear stories from anyone else who's experienced this before. Any and all information would be very helpful! Thank you in advance!

So sorry your vet has found a tumour in your piggies bladder, I have no experience of this. Hope you can find some some positive info on here x

Welcome to the forum but sorry for the circumstances.
If you use the search facility in the top right hand corner (magnifying glass) type in bladder tumour and it will give you a list of threads which may help.

It would be helpful if you added your location so that any advice can be tailored to the relevant part of the world.

Is your boy a single piggy or does he have a companion?
