since we lost Fudge on the 9th April I've not heard Buddy or Peanut wheeking. They all used to wheek every single day when it was veggie time. Fresh hay time or even if I came home from work and shouted "hello piggies" up the stairs to them all. I thought it would just take time for them to wheek again now I'm not so sure if they will. They still popcorn and gallop about the cage, and make little meep meep brrp brrp noises. But my I really miss those wheek wheeks. :soz:

If Fudge was the choir leader, then it can mean that they will stop to food wheek. If it is any consolation to you, I never thought that I would miss the cage gnawing at dinner time, but with both my worst offenders Maelog and Tanni gone, it is just down to wheeking and running around.

I find that it is usually the newest piggy that starts the food wheeks here and that leads the wheeking choir while the others just chime in. I call this job the "Wheeker for the Tribe".

I know it's so sad all the little things we miss when they're gone. Fudge must've been the ringleader. His week was the loudest and his little ears flapped up and down.

They seem ok otherwise so I won't worry then about non wheeking. Thanks for your reply.
