Hello! I recently took a sick piggy to the vet because she had diarrhea, refused to eat or drink, and was very lethargic. The vet gave her some fluids to rehydrated her. Of course she left the vet with a bump as they said the fluids could take a few hours to be absorbed by the body. However, now she moving around but not using her hind legs. She’s able to drag herself around her hone with her front paws. The hind legs are just dead in the back. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Please take her back to the vet.

If she still isnt eating hay for herself, ensure you step in and syringe feeding her a recovery feed
You will need to weigh her daily so you can be sure she is eating enough hay for herself and/or that you are giving enough recovery feed. Any significant weight loss in a 24 hour period and you will need to increase the amount of syringe feed she is given.
Ensure she is not given any vegetables or fresh grass if she is still having diarrhoea.
