of the C&C cage.... the piggies never really go up there apart from when i clean them out in a morning - they both run up then come down as soon as i walk away...

Thought tonight about turning it into the ' eating ' area... Any tips, ideas, suggestions ?

Hmm, mine actually love their loft, and all of them seem to use it at different times.
In fact I am thinking of putting in a second loft when I can next get my hands on some grids.
How is yours set up?
How big is it?
What do you have up there, and how big is the bottom level?
Maybe they just have enough space downstairs?

its a 1 x 2 loft and the bottom is 4 x 2.. They have an indoor pen which they spend over an hour a day in ( i would let them out longer but they don't seem to drink when in there so don't like to leave them in it for longer )....
the only thing up there is a little house !

Mine have this Open Wood Hay Feeder | Pets At Home for hay in their loft (it's a kitchen area) and they love to lie/hide under it. I think if you turned it into the kitchen then they would use it - it also stops hay getting all over the fleece if that's what you use! I use Back 2 Nature small pet litter on the upper level so it's easy to clean, as they like to pull the hay out of the rack to lie on.
