Not sure if they are drinking

Hi we got our two boars yesterday and I’ve got my first question already. They have a water bottle but I’m not sure that they’re drinking from it. The bottle is on the front of their cage but not in the sleeping section as there is nowhere to fasten it. They aren’t coming out of their sleeping area at the moment I don’t think so that’s probably why they’re not drinking. Should I be worried and is there anything I can do to encourage them to drink? They’re eating fine and look well. They’re 9 weeks old if that is relevant.
 
My guinea pigs did the exact same thing. Don’t worry if there really thirsty they will come out and drink. If you’re unsure you could get a rub off maker and mark where they have drunk to and then check back in a couple of hours and see if it has come down.
 
Hi, if they are new they will still be scared and it is completely normal for them to hide like this. They are probably drinking at night or when no one is around. Some piggies don't need to drink much anyway as they get lots of their water from their veggies too.
 
If they're only staying in their sleeping area you could cover the cage with a blanket of some sort to encourage them to explore especially while they're settling in. guinea pigs don't drink loads especially not when you're watching I've had my boys for 2 years and spud still doesn't like to drink in front of me.
 
Guinea pigs will drink the amount they need - for some it is less than others. Have you begun introducing veg into their diet? If so, then they get water from their veg. Do remember that hay is the most important part of their diet.

Yes they have a small amount of veg now so I guess they’re getting it from that. When I peeked out this morning they were both at the front where the water is (until they noticed me!) so I think they are drinking when no one is looking. Thank you for all your advice
