I had taken two wheeks off to go to Cornwall. The open day for my course is 9th May. All this was arranged and agreed by my colleague. Then this morning she said to me I can't take the second wheek. Even though she had previously said I could. Am furious.

Well after she said you could and you booked everything up isn't it tough tit now? She should have said in the first place ;)

I would speak to your boss, if you're already booked and have plans then surely she can't do that..... :tickedoff:

Fortunately the open day is the first wheek.

I will be handing in my notice very soon anyway.

I just think you can't say yes initially and then a couple of wheeks later say no. Two days before I go. :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

No, I agree completely. I would just tell a few fibs and say that because it had already been agreed then I had booked/arranged everything for the two weeks so it's too late for her to change her mind now. Sounds like she just likes to walk all over people asnd expect them to roll over, I can't stand people like that :tickedoff:

I just hate confrontations :(

I wanted that second wheek to start looking for flats. :(

I think I will hand in my notice as soon as I have been to the open day and am ABSOLUTLEY sure the course is for me.

I agree with everyone you've booked these hols and she can't just take them away. Now as you know, or those who don't, i'm a boss :o but there's no way i'd do this to one of my guys it's against all the union and morals of what you should do :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

Darling i also hate confrontations i'd rather run the other way, but i'm afraid you're going to have to stand up for yourself this time :smitten:

totally agree with Glynis you must stand up for yourself you are in the right and she is a nasty bully throwing her weight around, tell the boss you will lose a lot of money if you cancel , :tickedoff: what a cow no no cows are sweet what a slug ugh

problem is she knows I am only going to my parents' so I can't say I will lose money. Not sure what to do. Nothing, i suppose. I don't want my last wheeks here to be too shitty.

Grrrr she's being a bitch, not fair. mmmmmm you gotta think like her what would she do?? in other words if it was put to her how would she react, has she a side of her that you can manipulate (oh i'm being naughty here)

Don't let her walk all over you Lucinda, it won't stop unless you stand up to her. I know you're not going to be there much longer but is she the type that once you hand your notice in she's going to be a cow anyway? If that is the case you may as well get it over and done with now, at least you're away for a fortnight then, then hand your notice in while you're away and that chops a week off your notice period for when you get back. I hate anything confrontational too but it doesn't have to turn out that way - just be firm and stand your ground, you might be surprised :)

Let me think about it tonight :)

But thank you all for your support :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

At ten to five she said I could have the second wheek and she would get a temp in. ::) ::) ::)

She just wanted to give me a shitty day ::) ::) ::)
