Piggy mum
Junior Guinea Pig
Hi
I have 3 boars who are all around 18 months old, I know boar trios don't always work and my dominant boar is going through a phase of being quite overbearing, chattering his teeth very loudly and raising his head up to one of the submissive pigs. This submissive pig has recently gone through a bout of mite and now has suspected fungal infection which is being treated with the vets advice. I'm worried that he's had the mites and fungus because he's stressed with the dominant pig...
I've just ordered some more c and c grids in view of maybe having to separate, they already live in a 6x2 cage. No blood has ever been drawn but I'm so concerned for my submissive pig that he's stressed and unhappy..
do you think that a trial separation in the cage where they can still see each other is a good idea?
Thanks
