My piggies have been out a few times on the lawn now in the nice weather, but I think they may actually prefer to be indoors.

Although they still eat the grass and Jasmine will close her eyes and relax, they never leave their log hidey. When I bring them back in, they quickly become more active. Perhaps they don't feel the need to explore when food is under their feet!

Have you got a cover over at least part of the run? Coming into the open is extremely scary for piggies as many of their predators are birds (also why being picked up can be a challenge) a net or wire cage top may not sufficient, as it still looks 'open'. I hope this helps.

Mine never liked lawn time either.
They had a hidey and spent all the time in there.
Coming back in was a different matter - off they went at high speed.

Now I don’t put mine outside - also the red kite population has increased and I don’t want my beautiful girls terrorised.

A few of my pigs have been the same. It's just a different environment for them and they usually get better after a few trips outside.

It's just like when I first got them, they hid alot then.

Mine are the same and I've had Hettie for 4 years now!

I don't put them outside now, I pick grass and bring it to them!

The run is half covered and I've given them other hiding places to go, but they won't move between them unless I remove the one they're under at the time. Perhaps they'll move around a bit more with time, but we'll see!

My older lot were very much like that when they lived indoors but now this lot live outdoors they are much more inclined to explore and run around. It might be different personalities or it might be because some of the sounds and smells are the same

Mine love outside. They live there because they love it so much. A good way to get them accustomed is to make a small cage and bring it out, then slowly remove the hide.
