Hello all, I am in a unique predicament. I have 3 guinea pigs and I’m a college student. During finals week recently I trusted a friend to bring me pellets for my pigs while I was focused on studying because I was running low. When I realized two weeks later I had accidentally been feeding them rabbit pellets, I immediately threw out the pellets I had been feeding them and replaced them with normal guinea pig pellets. My 2 guinea pigs adjusted well and continued to eat while the third has eaten minimally to not at all. He eats veggies and hay normally but his refusal to eat pellets is worrying me. Should I have gradually replaced his rabbit pellets with normal pellets? Is it too late? What should I do?

Don't worry, really, not if he's eating everything else just fine. Pellets should make up around 5% of their diet at most, think of them as a supplement rather than as food. He'll probably adjust back when he realises that's what's on offer.
