14 month Hamlet had stroke 4 months ago, Now stabilized. He weighs 520g and is quite small. He will eat pellets and veggies but no hay. Tried Timothy..botanical and oat. He will pick it up and bite it in half but can't or won't eat it. Sometimes he has issues with veggies and throws his head back, like he's trying to get the food to go down. Had teeth checked out. Wondering if stroke caused his eating disorder

How puzzling. Sounds so much like teeth. Were his back teeth checked?

Hi! It sounds like he could have a neurological problem with swallowing. Only a vet can diagnose that.

Please top him up with a fibrous recovery product; hay makes around 80% of the daily food intake and is the basis of long term gut and dental health. He will need it to help balance his guts and keep him going.

Thank you, I was feeding him Critical Care, when he had stroke and then on and off. I will start back up on it, any thoughts on how many times a day to syringe feed ?
