Hi, just wanted to check if my girl Anna’s nipples are normal? I haven’t noticed them before but caught sight today and they look big but I’m not sure how they are meant to look. She wasn’t keen on having them photographed but I got a picture of one. She’s nearly 8 months old and has been only with her sister since I got her 4 months ago. Thanks a lot.

Hi

They look within the normal range to me. Like with humans, there is actually quite a large individual range; much larger than you would expect.

The best way is to learn your piggie's 'normal' soon after arrival and then keep checking once weekly for changes for the rest of the life. If you have anxiety issues, I would recommend that you take reference pictures. Do the body-onceover in conjunction with the weekly health monitoring weigh-in on your kitchen scales. In combination they are your best tools to keep an eye on slowly developing issues.
