Picchu has a lot of milky fluid coming from his eye. Have never seen it like this before. Is it just his normal cleaning fluid or something else? Can’t see anything stuck in there.

He looks to be squinting a little bit and has had crusty bits in his fur below his eyes for a couple of days.

How old is Picchu? Thea is 7 and she has crusty eye gunk that is dried cleaning fluid most mornings. She isn't able to clear it away properly due to her elderly status. I just give her eyes a quick wipe every morning with cold water and cotton wool to remove it. She didn't like it at first but has now got used to it especially as she has some Coriander for being a good girl afterwards.

Have you taken Picchu to the vet to make sure it's nothing sinister?

Hi

The eye looks a little indrawn nd the crust looks rather like dried tear fluid to me or a mix. I would recommend to have it seen by a vet. It could be something stuck under a lid for instance.

He’s 3 next month. He’s not been to the vet yet but I’ll take him over if it keeps looking bad. Thanks for your reply.
