well they finally made their debut,three beautiful baby pigs!all kinda dark like their dad Gizmo. So folks how long before I check them out,change the bedding,stuff like that? I'm so excited! Nomnom didnt make a sound,I have gotten into the habit of leaving her a bedtime treat,and tonite when I set down her snack and went to pet her,I pet one of the babies! Turned on the light and there were three! I still see one placenta,with dogs and cats there are one for each baby,so I hope she ate some of them,AND todays my moms 77th birthday...PERFECT! Any tips for us? Please share your experiences!x)

As suggested weigh them and monitor them closely, make sure they are all getting milk from mum, an sign of them goign downhill or being rejected you'll need to step in and hand rear, maybe put a post under the labour & pregnancy section, more people will see it there. Good luck.
Please weigh the babies later on. Continue to weigh daily until the pups are three weeks old to make sure that they are thriving. Please contact us if any babies are below 60g, they may need extra help. They should gain weight from day 2-3 onwards.
Check whether all babies are able to move around and are able to hold their head up.
Please see a vet asap if there is more than a teaspoon of blood or a continuous trickle of fresh blood where mummy is.
I would not disturb the family by changing the bedding in the first day. However, as my mummy was on fleece, I put a bit of clean fleece on top of the soiled fleece for comfort for the first day.
make sure that all pups are suckling. it can take up to a day for the milk bar to start working.

aww congrats they are all lovely, my girlie had three babies yesterday ive weighed them and they are 110grams, ive changed the bedding and given fresh greens,alfalfa hay, and and ive checked they are all feeding well,ive had a cuddle from them all so just keep an eye on them, defo weigh them so you will know that they are coming on ok, hope that helps oh and enjoy

|)We weighed them last night and we just weighed them around five minutes ago, one is 103g, the other one is 100g, and another one is 105g, so they're all doing okay! All of them lost a little since last night.
