Noisy Piggies

Every morning at 7 o’clock my guinea pigs wake me up whinging for food, I have a blanket over them but it still does not stop them from making noises and I can’t provide them with enough hay at night that will last them till the morning. Does anyone else have this problem?

Mkne will whistle like crazy when theybhear me in the morning even though they have plenty of hay. What prevents you being able to give them enough hay to last them?

I have 7 guinea pigs who live together in a 12 x 2 c and c cage.

They have a hay area each end with soft kngs hay in the deep trays and stalky timothy hay in the rack, wicker tube and corner litter tray;

Being hungry is the normal state of a guinea pig.
Mine will shout at the opening of any door, the rustling of any bag, the sound of a knife on the chopping board. They will shout in the morning and any other time they think I’m around to feed them.
So long as they have plenty of hay and nuggets they are not hungry really - just communicating with you and trying to train you.

Welcome to the world of a piggy slave. 4pm everyday mine start letting me know its dinner time. They are the same first thing on the morning even with bowls of nuggets and plenty of hay still in their cage.

Piggies make noises it is one of the most endearing things about them

Please make sure they have access to unlimited hay. How big is your cage? and how many little ones do you have?
