Well, my cat is now coming up for 18 years old, her sister passed away at 17 last year - must be great genes!
To cut a long story short we are having some building work done meaning our girls have to sleep in our room and me and the other half are now temp in the livingroom.
The whole of the back of the house is open and my (stone deaf, almost blind, can't smell anything but still having a good bit of craic) cat is wreaking our sleep!
If I put her outside we can actually hear her yamming very loudly as there is no sound proofing at the back of the house till the windows go back in, so.....here is my plan of action for tonight
Any tips, advice or warnings appreciated - seems like a good idea but want to make sure I've not missed something, and the lack of sleep means I probably have

- lock my piggie boys in their hutch in the shed tonight as usual
- make her a bed on top of the hutch and put out some food and water out for her
- clear the boys toys off the floor and put her litter tray in the corner
- cover the front of the hutch with a blanket (which I had started doing anyway as its getting a bit nippy!)
- in the morning remove her litter tray and food and give the floor a spray with the hutch cleaner to make sure she hasn't done anything that the boys could accidently eat/drink (though she's a great girl and very good with a litter tray, but accidents happen!)
