Hi,
After a stressful period I'm finally in the situation to adopt a friend for Ted. He's been alone for almost a year (after falling out with his teenage friend Fudge who then sadly passed away), but I have 6 pigs and have been in unstable mental and financial circumstances for about 11 months. I didn't want to adopt any more pigs in case I had to give them all up. Luckily I'm on the mend and was searching on the internet for single rescue sows for Ted, but have had no luck. Every girl guinea pig I've seen has been bonded with a friend (Ted really doesn't do well in trios). I obviously don't want to purchase a guinea pig from a breeder etc as I'm aware of the cruelty that many face, but I don't know what I can do. I'm based in the Scottish lowlands if anyone knows of any rescues.
