My grandparents were looking after my pigs since Last Thursday afternoon till this afternoon. I gave them instructions on feeding etc. and a routine to stick to.

I’ve gone to put him in his carrier to drive home and his cage has 0 poops in it. I asked when he was last cleaned and they said 10am that morning (I found no poops at 4:30pm). I checked his bottom but it looked normal, I had a listen to his stomach and I heard very reduced gut noises, but there was still a slight noise.
He isn’t bloated and he isn’t off his food.

My grandmother went to get him a treat and I found that she was giving them a full stick of flat leaf parsley a day. The main stalk was about 25ish cm in total and it had 3 little stalks (around 10cm) with leafs coming off it. If he has eaten this much 4 days in a row, I am not surprised he is having some tummy troubles.
He also hadn’t drank much water but he doesn’t drink much anyway and has always been fine before.
Apparently there were quite a few poops when he was cleaned at 10am but I haven’t seen anything from him since.

His friend who was on the same diet has had no issue with pooping.

How do I deal with no poops? Do I remove all veg or try give him basics like lettuce and pepper to try and let his stomach settle.
Although I am aware seeing them eat doesn’t particularly mean they are eating, i’m going to watch and see if he’s eating hay, then he will be weighed tomorrow morning.
Thanks :)

Poop output reflects lack of food intake up to 1-2 days ago. No poops is reduced hay intake so as long as he definitely isnt bloated then he can continue having veg, weigh him and syringe feed.

Is he not used to have one stem of parsley? (That is the amount I would feed my lot)

Uh no. He usually gets 1 sprig around 10cm, so it’s around 3x what he is used to.
Should I syringe feed straight away or wait until I see what the scales say tomorrow?

He may be eating them. If they are full of Parsley they may taste nicer than normal. I had a piggy who ate all his poops for days (and his friends straight out of his bottom) when he was coming off antibiotics.

Have you seen any poops since he has been home?
