or late, we have to do our 'rounds'.

WP_20161025_18_59_36_Rich.webp Well it's quite the norm to see photo's of our piggy homes in the daylight, so thought I would share my little groups home when it's feeding time (and checking with them).

I have stick on LED battery lights with a push on action so I can check them, fill their bowls, hay and heat pads and see exactly what I'm doing.

Sorry no fairy lights, but you get the idea.

those things are bright! I just bought a pack of two thinking I would need both for the shed but nope one is clearly going to be enough so the OH suggested I use the other one for the piggies

That's ace guess what I will buying tomorrow lol thank you x

Thank you @Mother Hubbard . Great photo showing how well a battery operated light can work in your hutches.
Loving your work :luv:

Thanks Vicki, and certainly not expensive.

hahaha perfect timing then.

That looks amazing, what a fantastic idea for hutches.

So you just use them to check in and at feeding time . Is that right?
Or do you leave them on all night?

I only turn them on when I'm working on the hutches, so anything from 10-30 minutes. I think if I left them on all night you would be going through batteries and perhaps attract wildlife to come sniffing. I'm also careful to ensure I brush up afterwards so there is no stray food left on the floor. There's enough light from 2 led lights to do anything you require, from usual feeding, to cleaning out, piggy body checks. Although I wouldn't recommend trying to clip nails, not because of the light, just because I know my lot wouldn't sit still long enough as they are so use to the feel of the dining room table! Talk about habit forming.

I'm quite lucky, my shed is close enough to the house to run an electricity cable into. That way, I have heating and lighting. ;)
