Hello, we are sending the same information to our vet but just hoping to get as much information as possible at the moment.
We were trimming our piggies’ nails and noticed one of our ladies has what looks like oxidised sebaceous filaments around her nipples. She in specific has had issues with oily scent gland on her bum that we give her occasional baths and coconut oil rubs for to break it down but this really does worry us. She is still her usual self eating well and socialising with her sisters so we’re hoping if it is serious we caught it in good time.
Please let me know if anyone has has similar issues

Hi

Good that you are having the nipple checked. Any major change should.
Crusty nipples in sows are generally the most common symptom of ovarian cyst activity (hormones).

All the best. I would not worry too much right now. It is not an emergency in any case.

Glad you are getting that nipple checked out, my Bill had a mammary tumour removed and was fine
