Hi all, Ive been treating Scully for fungal infection twice a day for last couple of weeks and its clearing nicely, she is so patient I have to put it on her nose, around her eye, on her mouth etc. then noticed a few days ago Rascal has a patch on her back so Ive started treating that, but she has started nipping me wen I pick her up. She doesnt draw blood but it blummin hurts. Is there anything I can do? Ive been picking her up since we got her but its only since Ive been treating her. She pinches food out of Scullys mouth and Scully gives her a nip wen she does it, but she has never nipped me!

She is just telling you off. Right now, you can wear gloves and tell her firmly, but gently without letting her get away with it. Most piggies stop when that tactic doesn't work. Praise her lavishly for any bit of good behaviour.

Try to teach your piggies to come into a pickup conveyance of some sort - a tunnel is useful, a cosy, an upturned pigloo or a small cardboard box with the help of a little veg or grass treat. Generally, you can shoo an unenthusiastic piggy in the right direction with a gentle tap on the bum end (piggy speak for move on), so you are nowhere near those teeth and a piggy doesn't feel like it needs to defend itself. But that takes a bit of time!

Thanks, will try that. It doesn't help that I have to pick her up every day and put medicine on her back! This morning while I was putting Scully's on, Rascal came over and started nudging my hand out of the way and squeaking, she might of been looking for food but I think she was telling me to let her go!
