Hi just after a bit of advice/reassurance, our boys are well settled now and we enjoy giving them floor time, however over the past few nights one piggy has started nipping at my hands and clothes, he seems quiet cheeky when he does it and runs away after and hides, I'm not sure of hes just testing (wev had them just over a month) or what hes trying to say, we only have them both out for 10mins each night is this too much or not enough? :)

Lol sorry but that sounds so cheeky and cute! I have never experienced that. He is very intelligent to hide after as he understands you will not like it.

If any of mine do that I use a bit of reverse psychology by picking them up and giving them a cuddle& a love remembering to keep your fingers out of the way. It's probably just a temporary phase & will pass.

thanks for the advice i must admit it did make us laff how he kept running off and hiding when he had nibbled lol, I'm pretty sure they are both alot more intelligent than they let on ;-) . we had them out last night and tried the reverse psychology- and they both sat lovely and no nipping :-)

Had you been preparing food prior? It could be your hand smelt like food? Mine will sniff me but not bite, however once I had been chopping veg and made the mistake of getting my hand too near one of my pigs mouths and they had a nip (I think due to smell and completely by accident)
