Having lost our lovely husboar, Jambo, in September, we took sometime before deciding to look for another boy.
Along came Charlie, last week. He is recently bereaved and his owner, a lovely lady, had to have her other 2 boys put to sleep last week. She was devastated and in her own words, needed a break. So we offered Charlie a home and after coming to check us out, she gave him to us.
He is a gentle boy, a bit frightened at the moment but is gradually getting used to us.
He had a vet check yesterday and although has lice, is otherwise a healthy boy.
The plan: he will be neutered and then spend 6 weeks in a run next to the girls. Hopefully, he can then be introduced to the girls and belong to a herd. If that doesn't work, I will find him a match with my local GPig rescue and he can live in a couple.
Love him already!
