Newspaper & hay

Does anyone just use layers of newspaper, then topped with hay for their piggies or do you need a layer of megazorb etc.

I have stopped using fleece and towels now as I was finding the washing etc for the amount of piggies I have too much.

I find megazorb good but I seem to be cleaning out every two to three days as I have a few sows together and can they poo! and it's getting expensive, I'd rather use if poss layers of newsaper and hay and clean out everyday.

I use hay and newspaper in the sleeping boxes which are cleaned out every day,,and duobed in the main run which with 30 piggies is cleaned out once every four days as it is a large area.

I think this is probably an easy way of cleaning out. Just roll the paper
