Well a whole new year ahead. 😄

What do you all want to achieve?

I’m having a major operation on the 16th January so my hopes for 2024 are that I recover well. I’m not drinking alcohol in January (probably February too).

Is anyone taking up a sport? Fitness regime? I am here for you. I want you to succeed.

My new year's resolution is a work related one, to take time to do some research, not get so bogged down in lecturing and marking!
I have a new female line manager who is really supportive about this, and we got a bit of research funding to study hedgehog parasites in a local hedgehog population that my colleague has radio collars on, so we can look how parasite burden varies over the seasons, in different age groups, with behaviour and diet...
I just need to make the time to chase hedgehogs with a radio aerial and collect their poo and then spend some time in the lab lol :)

Sounds interesting 🤔

I'm hopeful to start some gentle yoga or pilates. Possibly postnatal focussed as I have diastasis but my physio is going well and the muscle in my leg and bum is building up again after the immobility during pregnancy. I want to feel fit and healthy again and get back in to my sewing etc

resolution is the same as last year...to move out. The difference being this time I've got about a third of the amount I want in the saving account as oppose to it being £0 last year. So keep saving and hopefully, I'll be moving.

Other than that, getting rid of some weight, and make my ponies sell themselves.

My main one is to be a better advocate for myself in as many ways as I can be.

I have spent this last year fighting with doctors with very little resolution to any of my issues, from my mental health to my back, I only got the cream I needed for my eczema by creating a massive fuss and fought for it.

Secondary ones would be, I wish to achieve new running PBs for 10km and half marathon distances if I can get on top of my back issues. I'd also be happy with a new 5km PB but that's a little less realistic 😂

I've also been threatening to learn to drive for the last decade or so 🤣 so maybe that'll happen this year, who knows!

I tend not to set resolutions but have sort of goals for the entire year.

- I want to be stronger. Yes it involves losing weight but I want to be fitter too, build a little muscle and be healthy. Also emotionally strong, siblings attitude hasn't changed but I'm not standing for any of his rubbish this year. He doesn't like it he can ship off somewhere else.
- To look after myself. However I see fit at that moment.
- More adventures! Even just a little outing each month somewhere different or to do something different.

I’m not big on resolutions. But here are a few I would support

Love these, especially photo 2

I don’t tend to make resolutions but as this year has 2 big adventures planned I intend to enjoy them and make the most of them.

A trip of a lifetime to New Zealand with 4 days in Singapore en route. Time with my sister in Christchurch, we haven’t seen each other in about 7 years.
Then retirement- time to do new things and explore new possibilities.

I don't usually make resolutions but last year age related physical problems spiralled out of control. Resting to let injuries heal didn't work, this year I want to get back to my walking and get my strength back. If I have to limp all the way home on walks I'm going to limp! I need to lose the resting weight and be me again.
