ive bonded a 4 year old sow...Zalika to a neutered boar and sow.She seems to be so nervous.i gave them all log tunnels, but all were hiding.so ive taken them away.she seems to be interacting.ive put the fresh food in,but the other two are eating it much faster than Zalika.so ive taken her out so she can be left with her veggies.ive been syringe feeding her as she is underweight.
The rescue did not have much history.she was living outside lost her companion. Her ears are really bitten from old wounds.I'm not sure if its fear aggression, need time for her to se
ttle in.ive not seen any aggression from neutered boar or sow.Zalika is very petite, weights 725 grams, shes not lost weight...but she had three syringe feeds 45mls. Do i need to give them time ? or bond with another group.

Please give her more time and consider pegging a sheet over the top of the bonding area but leave out any furniture but a bif pile of hay in the middle.

Thanks for your input Wiebke.ive done lots of bondings, this has thrown me,as there is no aggression that i can see,but she is so frightened, but its all new to her,i need to give it time.weve still 12 days of the getting to know it phase.Zalika is bottom of rankings.

Oh bless her, she does sound frightened. I hope she soon settles when she realises she is in a safe place now.

Lucas has been licking her eye so thats good.i will syringe feed her until she is more settled.not sure if she has had veg before as she left pepper, lettuce and green bean.will keep offering and hope fully she will get the hang of it.She likes dill and parsley !
