Hi, we got our two sisters, Scratch and Sniff about four weeks ago. Sniff was the more confident but Scratch has come out of her shell a bit now. In the last couple of days when being petted on my lap (both together) Sniff has started to rear away or cowl when you try to stroke her whilst Scratch seems quite happy. Any suggestions about why she is doing this and how to overcome?

Some pigs don't really like being stroked but you could try hand feeding veg whilst she's on your lap instead. Also check to make sure there's no sign of parasites as mites and lice can cause discomfort when being touched.

Hi Hermes, she's been alright before with being stroked and was much better yesterday so was maybe having a grumpy spell!
