Hello.
So my sow just had two babies out ot incest with her father. This is unfortunate as I did separate the males and females in different cages, could've occurred on a day because of my carelessness.
Now one of the babies is healthy and walking around and nursing without any issues. But the other one is struggling to stand up. It was lying on its back after being born for a while. Now it's lying on its sides struggling to stand up. The morphology is perfectly alright without any physical deformations. Just that it doesn't find the strength to stand, walk or nurse.

Any idea what caused this (ik it's the inbreedng probably) or what can I do about this?

The only thing to suggest is to have your pup vet checked. We can’t really tell you what caused it.

Have you weighed the pups yet?

Idk man. Vets in India neither give a about guinea pigs nor do they know anything about them.
I just want it to survive without being able to stand up and nurse. Can I feed it some diluted pellet food with an ink filler? Since there are no guinea pig milk replacers available in the market and cow's milk is probably dangerous.

Poor little one. Can you get kitten milk where you live? That is sometimes given here to guinea pups that are struggling to nurse. You have to feed it with a 1ml syringe in tiny amounts, to prevent aspiration of the liquid.
Sending healing vibes x

You are a life saver, qualcast and flymo owner. I went to the pet mart right away and bought the milk replacer for pup/kittens. Fed it just 1ml and now it's standing upright although not walking yet. This is a huge improvement.

Thanks much. 🥹

Kitten milk is a good substitute for mum ‘s milk. If the little one is able to stand now, perhaps offer him/her some one on one time with the mother. Put them in a box together with some tasty hay for mum to nibble and she should stay still. The baby should then have some time to be able to feed from mum

Please weigh mum and pups daily to check for weight gain.

To,prevent further pregnancies Baby boars must be removed by day 21 or 250g in weight whichever comes sooner.

Hi and welcome

Please try to place the baby on its belly and see whether it can stay upright and lift up the head; then it has a chance to make it. Gently massage the legs to help strengthen them in case they have been cramped in the womb in the last days.
If the baby is unable to hold up its head and keeps falling over, then the prognosis is not good. :( :( :(

You can try and feed the pup very, very carefully, little but often - about 0.1 ml every hour - if the mother rejects it but be aware that the odds are against you if something major is wrong and without the mother's first antibody-laden milk (colostrum). You need to make absolutely sure that no feed gets into the lungs (aspiration) since this will inevitably cause a fatal pneumonia in tiny pups without a working immune system.
Here is our advice with all the how-to tips: Hand-rearing-and-support-feeding-orphans-and-tiny-babies

About every 5th birth results in fatalities of pups or mothers - and that is with the best of care. The baby may have aspirated amniotic fluid while still in the sac when it started breathing or it had the cord around its neck during birth and been shortly deprived of oxygen etc. Since the babies are a multiple in size compared to human babies, a lot can sadly go wrong during birth and there is not much you can do in these cases.. :(

A pregnancy takes around 10 weeks. It depends on how long your piggies have been separated. Please ensure that the boars cannot get out of their cage.

Fingers very firmly crossed.
