Our girls arrived today. Rosie and Pip Our little girl is smitten, such cuties

They haven’t had a drink today as far as I can tell. It’s been really warm, do you think they will sneak out at night when it’s quiet to eat and drink? They only arrived today so I’m sure they are just getting used to everything

Once they feel safe they will come out and eat and drink (the amounts piggies drink varies widely though, particularly once they are getting veggies).

They are absolutely gorgeous!
I wouldn’t worry too much that they haven't had a drink yet as they are still getting settled in, they will probably do a bit more exploring at night when it is a bit quieter and they will feel a bit safer.

Please make sure that they have access to fresh, cool water at all times and leave a larger piece of cucumber in case they haven't twigged the water bottle yet. Keep in mind that guinea pigs do not necessarily need to drink a lot more water in hot weather (they don't sweat or pant) but that they need access to cool fluid when they are thirsty.

Give them time to settle into their new territory and used to human interaction. Right now, they feel rather lost and are very much missing the protection and guidance of their mother and family group, considering their very young age.

Please bring them indoors during the hottest hours of the day depending on where you are. That wendy house looks pretty but is not ideal for a heat wave like we are currently experiencing in the South of the UK.
