ebony+holly pig

plese could anyone help me,i was watching my two girls today and ebony was swaying her bum from side to side and then bumped into holly's backside and then holly made a machine gun noise and squirted white stuff out of her bottom at ebony.( what is going on with these two)

How long have you had them? If you are sure they are both female then it's just a dominance thing. One of my girls rumbles so much at her sister when she is in heat. Fleur just ignores her though. :)
 
i have had them for a week,i am worried now i am going to check they are both female (doesnt hurt to check)they were checked before i got them but you dont know they might of got it wrong thanks be back on when i have checked

Have to agree with S&T i think it could be a good idea to check their sex you can't always trust the shops to get it right :-\ :-\

Once Susannah did that to Honey in Summer when they were playing out in the run. The White stuff will be wee which goes white if they are not drinking enough. My girls very rarely drink water but its nothing to worry about as they get enough water from all the fresh veg they eat.

Best to check they are both girls though as girls can sometimes do this to boys as well when they are getting close to their back ends.

Welcome to the forum hope you get them sexed asap then you cant start to enjoy them. :smitten:

I dont think females squirt that stuff out - my males do that :D i think you may possibly have a boar and a sow
How long you had them and how old are they ? :)
 
Yep, only my boars sway their bums and squirt 'Stuff' :o
I think you have a boar and a sow by the sound of it.

Flora does sway when in heat but I've never seen either girl squirt anything at one another.

I have been searching online to see if girls do spray but can't find anything, only that boys do. :-\

As Glynis said post pics up if you need help sexing them. :)
 
well i have checked and they are both female,i didnt quite know with holly as she has a wiered looking downstairs but i went on a site and found that sometimes girls can have similar looking downstairs as males but i tried pressing on the stomach were it says and nothing happened,(no little man came out and i did try for30 minutes),so i am almost certain she is definatly a girl but i will try and get a photo of her if i can and put it on, thankyou all :smitten:
 
I have seen my girls squirt at each other occasionally so girls do do it too!

I think you may find Ebony is not a girl, girls if they do not want to be mounted will squart wee at the male guinea pig....
 
My Mervyns little man comes out but Honkeys never does, but Honkey is a boy, he is always swaying his bum.
 
ebony is definitely a sow,its holly I'm worried about as she has a dot on her bits but no little man comes out.they have had me awake all night holly is now stalking ebony and chasing her very slowly and chattering her teeth and making a machine gun noise,I'm feeling really down as i only have room at my house for 2 and i cant get them a cage mate if they are different sex.i might take them back to the rescue centre and get them to make sure(accidents happen)i have separated them.but i already am thinking holly is a boar. :'( :'( :'( :'(
 
good news "BOTH ARE GIRLS" AND THEY ARE BOTH ON HEAT, sows and boars both squirt stuff out of their bottoms and they also sway from side to side when on heat,they should both be alright together when they have come of heat if not i have just got to keep an eye on them to make sure they they like each other.(THEY BOTH THINK THE OTHER IS A BOAR) holly was lying on the floor with her rear end in the air before.and ebony is food crazy she has to have first pick, and she has got to be picked up first and put back last,The rescue centre said there was possibly a bit of seeing who was going to be the boss going on that's why they are acting like this. I would just like to thank you all for your help and support,even though i was acting like a very over protective mother. 98) :smitten: :D

I just realised that one of my sows do actually sway there bum now as she lives with a lil baby boar :smitten:

I am really made up but every time i go near the cage they start performing by doing the machine gun and chasing each other, i think they don't want each other to come near me,as if they are jealous of each other, so i still might have to separate them with a divider,i will have to keep an eye on them.had them out for floor time for an hour and they were fine no arguing. ;D ?
 
How pig is their cage? I have a couple of boars like this, so comical to watch but of course you have to be careful. If no fighting has happened then I wouldn't divide, they will work it out. :)
 
i have a nero 3 which i was told would be big enough for 2, plus they have 2 of every thing e.g 2 food bowls 2 set of toys, they just share the bed.
 
i have been squirted with stuff by my sow! lol i put my hand in to pick her up and she got all stroppy and then i felt my hand go warm and wet! eeeeeewwwwwww! ;D
 
I have 2 Nero 3's I've had to ditch one my girls are getting huge. They only slept in it of a night so now I've made them a 4x2 c&c and they are loving it. You could adapt the Nero 3 to have an upstairs a lady on here called Kaz did it and it looked great. My girls love to run though! Funny watching Fleur run, she is 2.5lb and she waggles! :D

It could be the enclosed space that is upsetting your girls, but then do give them time to work it out they should be ok and if they are on heat then oh my fireworks can start! It's all good fun though, they are funny things! :)
 
They are still popcorning so it cant be that bad going to check on them be back on later. "I LOVE THIS SITE" :smitten:
 
That's great if they are popcorning, means they are really happy! Do you have any pics of them?
 
IVE just gone up and every think was quiet and the minute i walked into the room they started,so i gave them a big load of soft green hey and its taking their minds of it. sorry i haven't i am going to take some but i don't know how to get them on the forum.
