Hi everyone, I'm new and am going to be the proud owner of 2 little piggies in about 3 months time (giving us time to get everything ready and save for a hutch, toys etc)
Does anybody here have any experience of the pink princess hutch made by home sweet home? Would it be suitable for two guineas etc?
We have a very small and completely enclosed back patio garden, we are in a basement flat and the other buildings wall off the space. It even has a grate covering it (to stop seagulls etc getting down) so they will be very safe there!
Also as its all enclosed there are no major drafts!

We will also have an inside living arrangement for the colder months, this would be a permanent arrangement but my flat-mate is quite allergic so unfortunately its not possible!

Oh here is a link to the hutch in question, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-NOVELTY-PINK-CASTLE-RABBIT-AND-GUINEA-PIG-HUTCH_W0QQitemZ220496929860QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Small_Animals?hash=item3356a42444#ht_704wt_941

One of my main concerns is that there doesn't seem to be a way of reaching the middle compartment, which might make it tricky to set up and clean out!

Thanks, G xx

Firstly hi & welcome :)

I have to say i don't like the hutch, sorry. It looks too flimsy to be outside & it's too small.
The minimum recommended size for 2 piggies is 4ft long x 2 ft deep
The price, to me, is exorbitant for what it is & i'm sure there are nicer, bigger hutches available for the same price if not less.
I can't recommend any as my partner makes all mine for me but there are members on here who will as soon as they see this :)

Thank you! I have to say i thought it was a little pricey as there were plenty of other hutches on ebay for around 50-70!
Goodness, i'm glad you let me know, i'd hate to have put them in a home too small for them, if anybody can suggest any good hutches id really appreciate it! :D Thanks for your help! xx

You are welcome & i'm glad you didn't take offence ;) :))

You don't know anyone good at DIY do you? You can make a basic 5ft x 2ft hutch yourself for around £40 :)
