Hi All. I have recently started building a C&C cage for our two girls. We have decided to build it as an extension of their current indoor cage at the moment. I have attached a photo (we are still waiting for the Correx to arrive to finish, hence the sheets and towels! It will look a lot better!) we only have the side open at the moment when we are home, just to watch invade of any exscapes, but once the correx is in, it will be permanently open. We would have waited to build, but the girls are arguing so they needed more space!

Please could people advise what to put onto of the correx? We use hay and wood shavings for bedding currently, but do we put this directly on top of the Correx? Or should we put in puppy pads etc?
Any advice would help! Thanks. :) FC254424-CF28-4CD5-85D2-B8B78A7B099D.webp

Looks good. It’s really up to yourselves what you put in. Some people put puppy pads and fleece or just puppy pads or some people put the type of bedding they use in the main cage. As your cortex base is essentially a tray like your cage base.

Thanks for the advice. It is all built now! Slight measuring issue, so will need some adjustments. But works well :)

You could use newspaper, wood shavings or recycled paper bedding, then hay- or you could go for puppy pads then fleece. Our C&C is split with an area for both, depends on how much vacuum cleaning you want to do- if you have a lot of hay on the floor then fleece is difficult to brush down.

It's looking really nice! Giving them a lot more space for popcorning and whizzing around 😅😅
