I bought a new bulk box of 1ml syringes that had decent reviews on amazon, however they have a black tip actually inside the syringe vs my last ones that didnt. I could be overthinking but with such small amounts needed for pigs, surely this tip takes up a lot of space that wouldve been for the medicine therefore doses will be less? Has anyone else used syringes like these? Not to mention they seem slightly smaller than the other ones too.. Posting a pic of the new one and then my old one which you can see doesnt have anything obscuring the dose area

OK - I hope I can explain this so it makes sense.

The effect is the same with both syringes - it's just achieved in a different way.
The black part on the new syringe does take up extra space. But this part also pushes all the medication out of the syringe, including the part that is usually left in the thin plastic point at the end.
Overall it is actually a more efficenint design, as with your older syringes a small amount of medication will always be left in the thin plastic part at the end. With the new ones the black rubber tip pushes it all out.
The dose will be right with both syringes as the older ones will have adjusted the dose accordingly to allow for a small amount of waste.

Just to add if you are using them for syringe feeding as opposed to giving medication then you should remove both the narrow tip at the end and the thin black rubber part on the end of the plunger.
