hi, i just got a new sow, she’s 4 and a half and very tame. should i leave her for 24 hours or can i be with her now? she’s very tame, tamer than the other 5 even now. i can stroke her without her running away and she’s really interested.

By the sounds of it, she seems very calm and settled which is always a good sign. What do you mean to leave her with your other five piggies or? Because if you were thinking of doing that then I would suggest a bonding exercise. There is a lot of information on here with regards to introducing and bonding. Also, if that is your plan then I would let her settle for a day. I would suggest to try and bond them as guinea pigs should be kept in pairs at least. However, if that does not work then she can always be kept next to them with a divider

I can’t wait to see her. 🥰

Do you mean the 24hr settling in period? If she’s settled in I’m not sure I’d bother, it’s all up to you!

If she is coming up to you and is interactive, then you can cuddle straight away.
If she is just quiet, then her prey animal instincts could be in play.
