Hello – just wanted to tell you all about my new ramp cover/tunnel and show you some pictures!
My girls didn’t like their very steep slippery ramp so I blocked the hole up and put them upstairs at night (to bed) and downstairs in the day (to play). As they were getting bigger I wanted them to have full use of the cage and saw some pictures on here how people had covered the ramps with all sorts of things. I saw someone had used a tunnel and thought this was a brilliant idea! Especially as you can remove it to wash it. So I contacted Marie at Cavy Couture www.cavycouture.com and asked her if she could make me a tunnel that I could attach to the ramp. I told her exactly what I wanted and you can see from the pictures what she came up with! It’s fantastic! She has been absolutely brilliant making it to the perfect size and shape, and I love the leopard skin pattern (and my girls do too being little divas!). It’s a basic tunnel but with Velcro straps to wrap around the ramp to keep it in place.
When I first put it in I think Scully thought it was another guinea pig and was brrring at it and shuffling around it in a huff, so I gently nudged her down it. She soon got the hang of it. Scully was running up and down and up and down and jumping all around the cage she was so excited. I wish I could of got it on video. Rascal soon followed, it was lovely to see them get full use of the cage. Now they can choose where they want to be!

Your welcome Trish - I'm really pleased they are enjoying it :)

Those ramp tunnels are brilliant. I have them for my boys also and it is the only thing that got Hazelnut to use the ramp. And being able to wash them is great.
