I bought a child's ball pool to use as a play pen. It folds down really small and is wipe clean. Put the pigs in it for the first time tonight, they love it. They are the most active I've seen them for ages.

It's actually smaller than their cage, but they are getting more exercise because they are busy exploring.

On a separate note, I bought some "wonky" peppers from Morrisons but the pigs wouldn't touch them! Gave them some for 2 nights running and both times they were still there the next day. We ate them and they were fine. I had to tell my husband we are eating guinea pig rejects :D:D

Yep, we end up eating the piggies left over veg at the end of the week! They are picky aren’t they x Love the playpen, we have something similar x

That looks like fun! I’ve got one but can’t remember where I put it, dipstick! 🤦🏾‍♀️
Your girls are gorgeous by the way.

I didn’t think they were waterproof. The one we have has a cloth like base. Sorry!

That is awesome!

Would it be best to put blanket down?

I was going to get one for Smokey and Bacon a while ago, but we got them their fancy wooden house instead

I never thought of that I'm so used to using fleece liners. I've put a shower curtain under it for now.

I am soooo going to steal this idea and put a pvc shower curtain underneath. My boys don't have quite so much free space to run as the girls in The Piggie House, this would be perfect for playtime, and my daughter still gets to sit in it too!

Who knew that another benefit of small children is their adaptability of baby products? Wet wipes have multiple uses, as does talc on wee spots on carpets, baby nail clippers do piggies toes, baby brushes comb their coats, Milton fluid sterilizes bottles, dishes, litter trays, messy mats are good cage liners... list goes on! x
