As most of you know i lost my baby Piper. I was on the hunt for another guinea pig but i was told i had to wait two weeks. So i went into the pet store not looking for a piggy but i saw my dream guinea pig. She is a beautiful grey and white piggy. She was totally fine with Pippa as soon as she saw her and only took a few minuets to bond them. She did have a few boogies and some sniffles but so did my other pigs. I believe its due to them benign in a dusty cage that does not get cleaned out as often as it should be. She will slowly adapt to the fleece. I am in love with her and so is Pippa. Pippa acts like a mother and I'm so exited to see what the future holds. If you guys have any advise for sniffles or allergies please let me know!

I would take them both to the vet, normally I'd recommend quarantining a new piggy but as they're already together it's too late for that.

The new piggy could (pet shop animals often have) a URI so it's best to get it treated asap to prevent any heart break if anything should happen.

It could be because the new piggy has been living on shavings but URIs are so common with shop pigs that I wouldn't want to take the risk, better to be safe than sorry!

I'm glad they bonded well anyway, once she's settled you can post plenty of pics! :)

Its always advisable to get any new piggies vet checked as already suggested.
If your other piggies are snuffly they too should be seen by a vet as it is not normal for them to be snuffly.
Please think about changing whatever you use for the base of the cage as best not to use sawdust or some types of shavings as these can cause allergies.
If you know you aren;t cleaning them out often enough you alreafy know the answer is more cleaning!
Good that they have settled well together though!

It's good that you have found another piggy and that she has bonded well with Pippa. I agree with @Cavy Kung-Fu that she should have been quarantined for 2 weeks before putting her in with Pippa. I can quite understand why you didn't though. You were excited about your new piggy and just wanted to get a friend for Pippa. Just to be on the safe side, I would take them to the vets for a quick health check then if anything is wrong, it can be put right quickly.

She has an appointment for tomorrow! hopefully nothings wrong. I have seen more snot and she's been acting a little lethargic. She is still eating and I've been giving her water through a syringe to make sure she is well hydrated.
