3lli3-x

Today i git my first ever pigs, and it's obviously all new to me and it;s going to rake me a while to get the hang of the right things to do etc..
I got 2 females. Nala, and Elsie. Elsie is quite a bit bigger then Nala and seems to maybe be the more dominent pig, although they do seem to be getting on well. I got them from a shelter as their previous owners could no longer have them. They are 7 months. When i approach them they immediaetly run, but if i manage to pick them up they seem quite calm which i am pleased about. This is the basics, i was just wondering about any simple advicefor a begginer anyone might have? thanks.

Give them time to settle. Talk to them as much as possible and offer them little treats. When they come out and pick them off your hand you know they are comfy with you and can handle them more. Have they got a "hide" from where to explore their new home?

Your lot is obviously used to being handled and petted. Lots of guinea p[igs don't like being picked up, but are OK once on your lap.

it will take time, one of my sows is a rescue and she hates

to even be touched she will sit still and eat in front of me now which is good

for her, good luck with them.
