Hey all!
About a week ago i got a little baby guinea pig, which i named Shoe (haha). She's doing okay, being very loud and oinking and wheeking at everything. The other day, i was presented with a second piggy (named Milk) - who is bigger and older than Shoe.
At first my boyfriends mum shoved them both in the same cage and they freaked out, naturally, so we got them out and sat them on the bed together to let them check eachother out.
They were cuddling and Shoe was burrowing underneath Milk, which was adorable!
Although, Milk is always nipping at Shoe and chasing her away from food, and generally being a bit mean to Shoe when she tries to cuddle and burrow underneath. Is this Milk just being a dominant piggy, or is Shoe just annoying the hell out of her? @)
Is Shoe trying to turn Milk into a motherly figure?
Also, is it normal for baby guinea pigs to constantly wheek and oink at everything? Even while she eats, she chirps and oinks at everything!
And sometimes when we play with her, she starts wheeking loudly and i get worried that something is wrong! Is this just baby behavior?
Thank you all so much! Sorry for the wall of text D:
Here's a picture of the two, being cuddly and cute.
Milk on the left, Shoe on the right (being oh so adorable)
