Thought others may find this of interest, I always used Haybox but it's been getting worse over last 2 years so after trying others that were not great like the little hay co, dust free hay company and just for rabbits I came across the hay shed. Their website is really informative and gives a good chart of the nutrition content of each hay to compare which would be best for your pigs. I decided to treat my daisy after an awful year of loosing all 3 of her friends and bought her the green wheat grass which has massive seed heads, some timothy and some meadow. The hay is really great, green and smells as it should and sweet. Came next day, it was more expensive as I tried 3 different types but so far the wheat grass is a sure front runner. I would definitely recommend them.

My boys love fresh wheatgrass, but as it's high in calcium they only get it once a week.
Interesting thank you, they have put on their website it is lower in calcium than timothy? One of the lowest? It can be so confusing trying to do the best 😬

Maybe. I'd be interested to know if that's true for fresh, because my boys just love it and it's a good source of vitamin c.

It’s always good to have recommendations.

Wheatgrass is fine to feed but it’s best as a treat hay

Interesting read thank you. The chart on there is also showing a very similar levels as the hay shed gives so she has lots to pick anyway. So far the meadow hay is just something she has decided to wee on haha. That's what she thinks about that! I think to be safe it will continue to be timothy with a little mini bundle of wheat heads to chew on. Nice and hard so great for her teeth 😃

I always get my Timothy hay from here! The next day delivery is so convenient and the hay has (so far) always been great quality. My pigs love it!
