new idea to give more room tell me what you think

my 2 boys currently have a 2x3 c&c i built for them when i got them and they were only 3 weeks old. i am building them a new much larger cage soon though. but anyways they are getting bigger now their cage still has a ton more room than petstore cages but to me is starting to look a little small. it has 9in sides on 3 sides and the front is 5in. i have a shower curtain that we bought and never used and was thinking i could lay that down in front of their cage where it is tucked under it just a bit and take some storage cubes and put those around it and connected to the cage where they are tucked a bit under the cubes so no messes on the carpet to make an attached playpen. would this be ok? it would make their living area go from a 2x3 to a 3x4! so would make much more room for the boys to run until we get all the stuff to make their new 3x7.

I think it's a great idea, but the one problem I see is that if you're only using a shower curtain on the floor there, you're going to get pools of wee. Which won't be good for your piggies, but will also stink to high heaven. Would you be able to put down a fleece layer or something on top?

I'm sorry lol thats my fault yes i will be putting fleece,towels and puppy pads just like the cage area mallethead i just found out I'm getting two more piggies rolleyes so i am going to be building two cages now one for my boys and one for the new piggies.
