New hutch for mum

Hi

My guinea pig had a surprise birth on Wednesday to a baby, we currently have them in an outdoor hutch, I don't feel comfortable with that. Is it safe to move them to an indoor cage now 2 days after birth?

Yes absolutely - please do move them inside.
Its not recommended for mum and new babies to be kept outside (as per the guides linked in on your other thread about the birth - I’ve linked it again below).

We have warmer weather predicted for the end of next week onwards which would put the babies at risk of heatstroke. Youngsters cannot regulate their temperature.

They need to be moved at the same time. Put them all in a box or carrier and move them together

That's OK I have a carrier I'll do that I was just worried about moving her in to a bed cage, but thanks for the advice all new to this
